Tittibhasana

Ashtanga yoga is a system of yoga originated by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India. This method of yoga involves Vinyasa (synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of Asana (postures)) and Bandha (energy lock) to produce internal heat which detoxifies muscles and organs. It also focuses and calms the mind along with Dristi (a focal point to direct ones gaze).

Pregnant body and mind are constantly changing. Pregnancy yoga will help to learn to breath in yoga postures and to relax in between postures, just like in labor. This practice is helpful throughout the pregnancy. The postures aim to strengthen muscles and to stretch pregnant body. Working with breath and movement pregnancy yoga can prepare body and mind for labor and after labor. It is recommended pregnant practitioners should begin at the thirteen weeks or after. Ask your health care provider if yoga is appropriate for you.

Basic yoga introduces yoga postures and breathing techniques. It will help to bring better awareness to your body and mind, and to learn how to control them. Beginners are welcomed.
